We do rent canoes and kayaks.  Marble Lake is a great paddling lake.  The sandy, shallow shoreline makes for easy launching and, as a medium sized lake, you can spent 2-3 hours paddling around to see it all.   Located between Mazinaw Lake (Bon Echo Provincial Park) to the north and Kashwakamak Lake to the south, Marble Lake is part of the Mississippi watershed, it is possible get onto other lakes with a minimum of portages.   Paddle to the north end of the lake to see the marble under the water!

While your standard aluminum fishing boat works great, Marble Lake is a smaller, shallower lake – not great for larger boats.   We do not have boats available for rent at the resort.  We can, however, direct you to a nearby local marina where you can rent boats and enjoy the day on a larger lake.

Fishing is a popular activity and anglers will find a variety of fish in Marble Lake primarily bass and walleye/pickerel.   A great feature of our area is the ability to fish a different lake every day with several accessible lakes with many varieties of fish (including trout, splake, northern pike, bass, walleye) all within a few minutes drive of the Loon’s Call.  We are happy to help you find what you are looking for.   Forget something?   There are local and nearby bait and tackle shops for anything you may need.

Yes.   Riding the trails or the local back roads is a popular activity in the area.  For everyone’s safety and peaceful enjoyment of our facilities, ATVs may not be ridden around the park.  You must proceed from your campsite or cottage to the nearest resort exit point or trail entrance.   Once off the resort, you can ride for many kilometers.   Marked trails are maintained by the Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance and further information can be found on their website at www.thetrail.ca

We are not a trailer dealer but trailers may be put up for private sales by seasonal trailer owners within the park.   For details of trailers currently available for sale, click here.

The Loon’s Call is located within 10-15 minute drive to two villages:  Northbrook and Cloyne.  Northbrook offers a Foodland, Bank of Montreal, Beer Store, LCBO, Guardian Pharmacy, Petro Canada and general store, laundromat and some restaurant options.  Cloyne offers a Shell station and general store, Outdoor Centre with fishing and hunting supplies, propane refills and laundromat, a public library with internet access, and some additional restaurant options.

There is lots to see and do in North Frontenac and the local area if you feel like getting off the resort and exploring.   See the famous native pictographs or catch the view from the top of the cliff face at Bon Echo Provincial Park.   Check out the Pioneer Museum in Cloyne for some history of the area.  Play some tennis or pickle ball at the courts in Cloyne.  Head down to nearby Hunter’s Creek for a round of golf or frisbee golf.  Take the kids on a five minute drive to the Land o Lakes Rescue Petting Farm.  The North Frontenac Dark Sky Preserve hosts night sky viewing events throughout the summer.   Or participate in one of the summer or Fall studio tours of local artists.  We are happy to recommend something based on your interests.
